As co-founder and President, David is responsible for leading the company’s go-to-market strategy – delivering “the right” solution for each individual customer. He also oversees sales, marketing, client relationships and business development. David’s customer philosophy is quite simple; “We will be our customer’s trusted advisor when it comes to their business process automation and content management needs – nothing less will do.”
David’s career in the document management industry spans some 20 years. He began his career as a mechanical engineer at Eastman Kodak designing film-coating machines and microfilm transport systems. It was there he joined the project team that was responsible for designing Kodak’s very first document scanner. His tenure is associated with the world’s foremost leaders in the enterprise content management arena; Eastman Kodak, FileNet, IBM, Hitachi, Open Text, Gauss/Magellan and Kofax where he has served in a variety of roles including; engineer, account executive, business development manager, channel management, director of global alliances and vice president of sales.
Prior to co-founding Tallega Software, David served as the Director of Global Alliances at Kofax, the world’s leading information capture company. There he was responsible for creating and managing global go-to-market relationships with the industry’s leading ECM companies and service providers including EMC/Documentum, IBM, Open Text, Interwoven, Xerox and IKON
Mr. Gerber holds an Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
Peter Klentos, co-founder of Tallega, is the company’s Chief Operating Office responsible for managing Tallega’s internal operations and for driving the successful delivery and overall satisfaction of Tallega’s customer facing initiatives, including implementation services, customer support and technical training.
Peter’s career in document management industry spans some 11+ years in the areas of solution implementation, process consulting, end-user technical support, and executive management. He began his career as one of the original developers and implementation specialists at Magellan Software; an Irvine, CA based company that developed, implemented and supported a suite of document management, enterprise report management and optical storage products. During his tenure at Magellan Software Mr. Klentos held multiple positions including professional services consultant, manager of professional services and vice president of customer support.
Following the 2000 acquisition of Magellan Software by Gauss Interprise, Peter served as V.P. of Global Support for Gauss Interprise. Prior to Tallega, Peter was the Director of Support for the Western Region for Open Text.
Mr. Klentos received a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from Cal Poly Pomona.
Richard is responsible for Tallega's overall professional services and technical support offerings. He will manage the team that delivers solution for Documentum based projects.
Mr. Brown brings over 15 years of Documentum and ECM experience to Tallega Software. Richard’s extensive experience began with Documentum v2 and has worked on every major version since. He has been responsible for the Customization and Administration Documentum specific software, such as Documentum Compliance Manager. Customizations include modifying the GUI environment to change the way documents are checked in the system, interfaces with other external systems and custom jobs to update external tables.

Richard has received advanced levels of certification for Documentum in Web Development Kit, Documentum Foundation Class, Documentum Content Management and Administration. Richard has degrees from Long Beach State University, California State University Fullerton and San Diego State University.
Prior to joining Tallega Software, Richard worked at Allergan Inc. customizing and administrating a Documentum Compliance Manger system. Before Allergan Inc., Richard was a Boeing working on a Documentum based government contracts system.
Derek is the main Account Executive at Tallega Software. However, he manages multiple entities and assignments. He manages the website, writes the newsletter, handles accounting matters and is certified to sell both software and hardware solutions. If you are calling the office, chances are that he is the one who will pick up.
Although young, he is extremely motivated and driven to provide the best customer service available. Derek has worked at a semi-private golf course running the driving range and providing carts for players. Derek also established his own car detailing service in response to local demand. Customers have recommended him for more work, two years after originally having their car serviced.

After graduating from the University of California Irvine with a Bachelors Degree in Business Economics, Derek was handpicked to work in a paid internship at CNN in Los Angeles, California. He worked on the Turner Broadcasting floor with the ad sales teams. Derek learned the ad sales process alongside the best marketing professionals in the world.
